Orange Eyelid Surgery Cosmetic Procedure | Orange County's Dr. Tavoussi

Orange Eyelid Surgery is a wonderful option available to individuals whose faces are beginning to show the signs of age. Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, only addresses the eyes, of course. Therefore, patients who want a more complete result may need to consider combining this Orange procedure with a facelift, brow lift or skin resurfacing. Eyelid surgery is designed to remove excessive skin and tissues from both the upper and lower eyelids that have occurred from thinning of the skin and excess deposits of fatty tissues in the lower lids. It cannot address certain lines and wrinkles, however, and does not stop the process of aging.

Dr. Tavoussi Explains Orange Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery can be a pricey procedure because it is usually not covered by health insurance. Most insurance companies only cover the procedure if it is performed to restore a poor visual field due to sagging skin. Most other Los Angeles Eyelid Surgeries must be covered out-of-pocket, although our office can help patients put together payment plans that will work for them. Eyelid surgeries performed by themselves usually cost just under $3,000. Patients should also know that upper eyelid surgery may need to be repeated because the results last between five to seven years.

Orange Eyelid Surgery Cosmetic Procedure & Recovery

Orange patients will head to the Pacifica Outpatient Surgery Center in Orange County for the procedure. The procedure lasts two hours or less and is often done using local anesthetic and oral sedation. However, when it is combined with another surgical procedure, it will require general anesthesia. Patients will be allowed to recover briefly at the surgery center before being discharged to recover in their own homes.

Recovery in Orange is generally quick and easy although some swelling and pain may initially be present. Dr. Tavoussi will work with each patient to minimize discomfort and to ensure that all Orange patients are completely satisfied. Lower eyelid surgery usually lasts for the rest of one’s life, but upper eyelid surgery may need to be repeated within five to seven years.
