Newport Beach Botox is very different from facial fillers although both are used for facial contouring. Botox is the common name for Botulinum toxin, which causes muscle relaxation and temporary paralysis of the small muscles in the face. It is often used on the forehead to relieve deep forehead wrinkles or around the eyes to minimize or eliminate the dreaded crow’s feet. Newport Beach Botox must be performed regularly to maintain its good results. In fact, initially, patients will need to have it performed every three to four months. However, after several sessions, a Botox treatment may last up to eight months.
Newport Beach Fillers, on the other hand, are a completely separate group of facial contouring agents that restore the lost plumpness of the face. They are currently used in the place of older collagen treatments and provide much better and more lasting results than traditional collagen does. Newport Beach fillers include such agents as Restylane and Juvaderm, which are injected into a variety of facial locations using a narrow needle. Some patients may want the skin anesthetized prior to the injections. The skin may be tender for one or two days. The effects of fillers often last longer than Botox does, and individuals may need fillers every 6 to 12 months.
