Forehead lifts can be performed in a traditional invasive way or in a newer less invasive way. At a preoperative consultation, Dr. Tavoussi will discuss with each Santa Ana patient which option will be best for him or her. Traditional methods use an incision in the hairline along with the removal of or repositioning of underlying forehead tissues that are creating furrows and sagging skin. Less invasive surgeries use endoscopic tools to perform the same tissue readjustments with only very small incisions.

Following either type of surgery, the patient will be transferred to a post-operative area for a period of recovery from anesthesia. During this time, ACLS-trained nurses will monitor the patient for any complications and will provide instructions for at home. A Santa Ana Forehead lift is a same-day procedure, and patients will return home within the next couple of hours. Patients should plan to rest for the next two to three days with the head elevated.
