Newport Beach Non-surgical Procedures | Orange County Cosmetic Techniques

At OC Cosmetic Surgery Clinique, which serves the entire Orange County area, Dr. Tavoussi performs a wide range of surgical procedures, such as breast augmentations and facelifts, as well as numerous non-surgical procedures. These Newport Beach non-surgical procedures are designed to give patients smooth, glowing skin and to help them feel confident in their bodies without subjecting them to long surgical times or recovery times. While the effects of these procedures may not be as drastic or provide as many long-term effects as traditional surgeries do, they are typically more affordable and provide faster results.

Newport Beach Facial Contouring Procedures & Laser Skin Resurfacing

Perhaps the most familiar Newport Beach non-surgical procedure is facial contouring, which includes Botox and fillers. Botox temporarily paralyzes the small muscles lying beneath the surface of the skin to decrease small wrinkles while fillers use collagen and collagen-like substances to fill in fine lines around the face.

Another option is laser skin resurfacing, which is a very brief procedure done right in our Newport Beach office. Using a high-tech medical laser, Dr. Tavoussi can reduce and remove marks from sun damage, stretch marks, spider veins and more to create a smooth skin surface.

Newport Beach Chemical Peels, IPL Photofacial, & Microdermabrasion

Chemical peels are often thought of as spa treatments, yet Dr. Tavoussi can do them quite safely in our Newport Beach office. This treatment uses a chemical that is applied to the face to create exfoliation. As the skin cells slowly peel away, they reveal a lower layer of skin that is often softer and smoother than the one above it. A variety of chemicals can be used, such as alpha hydroxyl acid and beta hydroxyl acid.

IPL Photofacial uses intense pulsed light to improve skin appearance and is well-loved because it does not take very long and does not produce side effects that will cause patients to be uncomfortable. Dr. Tavoussi often uses this to improve sun-damaged skin or skin that has experienced aging concerns, such as age spots or poor texture. IPL can be used every three weeks and requires at least three treatments for patients to notice complete results.

Finally, microdermabrasion uses mechanical friction to remove rough skin patches and to treat acne in patients who are not taking Accutane. While patients will feel what is happening, microdermabrasion is not normally considered to produce pain and does not require a local anesthetic.
