Newport Beach Chin and Cheek Implant Cosmetic Surgery | Dr. Tavoussi

Newport Beach Chin and Cheek Implants give patients in the Orange County area the chance to have the facial contours of their dreams. Some people struggle for years with flat cheekbones or receding chins that may affect the look of the neck. Rather than continuing to struggle, a simple surgical implant can be used to permanently solve these problems.

To find out if a Newport Beach Chin or Cheek implant is the right step, patients are invited to set up a consultation with Dr. Tavoussi at the OC Cosmetic Surgery Clinique. He will be able to evaluate the individual’s face and determine what type of implant could be used. Patients who are on the fence about committing can see before and after pictures of other patients who have chin or cheek implants or can use our digital computer technology to simulate what they would look like following the procedure.
Preparing For Newport Beach Chin & Cheek Implants

Both Newport Beach chin and cheek implants are surgeries that must be performed under general anesthesia. However, the process does not take very long. In fact, chin implants generally take half an hour, and cheek implants take about an hour. Dr. Tavoussi performs these procedures at the Pacifica Outpatient Surgery Center just north of our Newport Beach office. The surgery center has anesthesiologists and registered nurses on staff to help before, during and after the procedure. These implants are same-day surgeries that allow patients to head home within a couple hours.

Newport Beach Chin & Cheek Implant Recovery & Risks

At home, Newport Beach patients will want to take good care of the affected areas of the face. While there are often no incisions on the outside of the face, they will still want to be very gentle when washing the face or getting dressed. They will have some pain after surgery, which can be controlled with a prescription painkiller, and they will also have swelling, for which they can use a cold compress. In fact, the swelling is normally such that they will not be able to see the full results of the Newport Beach Chin and Cheek implants for several weeks as they wait for the swelling to decrease.

Risks with these Newport Beach surgeries are minimal but can include pain, swelling, bruising and bleeding around the incision sites. Because general anesthesia is used, some patients may also have a reaction to it and may develop a skin rash or feel nauseated. However, most patients tolerate this procedure well and love the results.
