Los Angeles Buttocks Augmentation Cosmetic Procedure | Dr. Tavoussi

A Los Angeles Buttocks Augmentation is a great choice for people who are generally healthy but who feel that their buttocks are either too small or not the right shape. However, patients must have realistic expectations and believe that while a buttocks augmentation can improve their general shape, it is not meant to change their entire lives.

Understanding the Los Angeles Buttocks Augmentation Procedure

During a buttocks augmentation, a cosmetic surgeon will add either an implant or fat from the patient’s own body to the buttocks to improve its shape and size. The type of augmentation used depends on the patient and on what the surgeon believes will work best. The cost of a Los Angeles Buttocks Augmentation is generally over $4,000 and may also have additional costs for medications, post-operative garments and lab work.

Dr. Tavoussi is a double-board certified cosmetic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in Los Angeles. He works at the OC Cosmetic Surgery Clinique in Newport Beach, which serves the entire Orange County area. Patients who are interested in a buttocks augmentation will initially meet with him at the Clinique to determine the exact procedure that needs to be done. He will discuss the patient’s goals and can show patients photographs as well as simulated pictures of how they should look after surgery.

The surgery itself is performed at Pacifica Outpatient Surgery Center, which is near our Newport Beach location. Los Angeles patients will come here in the morning for the brief surgery and be discharged home the same day. Fat transfers may take longer because the fast must first be collected from the patient’s own body before being placed in the buttocks. A buttocks implant is typically placed through a single incision in the gluteal fold to allow for better cosmetic results following surgery. The implants are placed next to the gluteal muscles to allow for more shapely and natural-looking results.

Patients may have some pain following surgery, which can be controlled with a painkiller prescribed by Dr. Tavoussi. They will be able to sit up the next day and will be able to return to work in approximately a week. Dr. Tavoussi may put restrictions on certain activities, such as working out, for longer than this. Patients who undergo fat transfer will be able to see their full results four months following surgery while Los Angeles patients having implants will see their results as soon as swelling decreases.
